Research in applied cognitive science shows that expert problem
solvers go through several general phases that novice problem solvers
leave out or fail to order properly. I am interested in fine-graining
these problem solving processes in the areas of ethical, interpersonal,
and emotional problem solving, and I have conducted "think-aloud"
protocol interviews and analyses to do so. From this research I have
developed four problem solving methods that can be used to train students
and professionals in more methodical approached. |
